As well as posting daily information on arrivals and incidents, and weekly and monthly reports, volunteers, organisations, journalists, students, researchers, film makers, government officials and family members of people lost at sea all contact the page asking for information. Tommy does his best to answer everyone, to give the best information possible, but one man can only do so much, he says:
“For those I haven’t had time to help, I’m truly sorry.
Many ask why are you doing this alone? – what’s in it for you, why use all your time on people you don’t know? – there is no point, because you can’t help everyone.
Yes, it’s true, I can’t help everyone. But I can help someone. Everyone can in their own way. If my work has saved one life, only one, my time spent over the years has been worth it.”
Tommy is fundraising to support his work. Please donate to help him continue the vital work he is so dedicated to.
“Remember, nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something!”
