So to summarise,
There were no European boats to help Manuel and his fellow passengers.
Yet no Libyan boats went to help them either.
It was down to the last remaining independent NGO to save as many people as possible.
Many of the other NGO rescue ships have been stopped from operating, against their will, at the hands of European Governments too.
All we can say is, long live Alan Kurdi, and thank you to the entire crew who did such an incredible job during this rescue.

Finally, welcome to Europe Manuel, and all who have been rescued. May you find the sanctuary that you deserve. All our love to you
Thank you also to Brendan Woodhouse for this information, and for your unwavering dedication to this cause.
