We met a few years ago when he was living in a refugee camp in Greece. He was only 17 but he was already volunteering as a translator with some of the NGO’s and doing everything he could to help other refugees in his position.
He also did so by sharing stories from the camp on his page Through refugee eyes. His photography is some of the most powerful I have ever seen.
Three years on…he’s living in Belgium, speaking fluent Dutch and still smashing everything that comes his way. He throws himself into every challenge and seems to have literally no fear in doing so.
Starting this podcast has been something I have wanted to do for a long time…so I am channeling Abdulazez’s courage with which he goes through life, to make it happen! I just hope this is another step towards getting amazing stories like his out there for everyone to hear.
