Something I now realise I personally totally take for granted.

Freedom of choice, to do what I want, when I want, to go wherever I want, whenever I want to.

Freedom to say what I want, spend my days as I want to (ok yes I need to work, but I still have the choice to take my life in whatever direction I want to).

This is the luxury I have just by being born in England. I didn’t work for it or earn it, it’s just circumstance and luck. Luck that a purplely-red little book with a picture of me in it enables me to jump on a plane to pretty much anywhere I could dream of, to cross the channel without question. The luxury that other people literally die for. The same journey that others desperately try to make, risking their lives every day.

Wherever you happen to be born, it was still on this earth, the same one we all share! Surely we all deserve equal opportunity? Surely we all deserve freedom?
